Clemmons marketing staff outlines fall events, bulk pickup and farmers-market dates

Marketing and communications staff presented the village’s upcoming fall events and service dates during the Sept. 8 Village Council meeting.
"This weekend, Saturday, Sept. 13, is finally our Oktoberfest and the Dirty Dozen 5K," marketing staff member Maddie told the council, saying the event will be at the Jerry Long Family YMCA with food trucks and vendors. Maddie also noted bulk pickup for residents on the west side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road the week of Sept. 15 and for east-side residents the week of Sept. 22, a fall medicine drop on Sept. 20 at Public Works, and the farmers market’s regular season ending Sept. 27 with a Harvest Fest.
Maddie said registration remains open for vendors for the Monster Dash and Goblin Hop on Oct. 19 and listed other upcoming partner events in which the village will participate, including Bike MS Tour de Tanglewood, Fleet Feet Mission 5K (Oct. 4), and the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome awareness at West Forsyth on Oct. 25.
Council members had no questions about the event schedule. Maddie said details are available on the village website and the village Facebook page.
