The Pryor EDTA authorized Main Street to apply for the Oklahoma Community Marketing Partnership program, which offers up to $50,000 with a required local match.
EDTA staff said the program has a rapid application period (due Sept. 19) and could fund a marketing and branding campaign for Pryor, including possible promotion around events such as the Bluegrass and Barbecue. The grant is dollar-for-dollar matched; EDTA discussed using EDTA funds for the match if needed, but noted some Main Street funds are already budgeted for other work and therefore unavailable as match.
Trustees approved a motion allowing Main Street to apply on behalf of the EDTA and city. Staff will confirm spending windows and reporting requirements with the Department of Commerce and report back on timing and whether EDTA funds will be used to match any award.
