Harrison County supervisors approve grants, contracts and budget notices; set community events

The board also approved advertising to receive RFPs for a comprehensive plan and RFQs for HR services.
Financial transfers and payments the board approved included a transfer of modernization use tax funds from the road fund to the Muckey's debt service fund in the amount of $1,321,843.20 and acceptance of a $49,393.17 check for opioid litigation proceeds. Supervisors approved submitting an application for Mississippi opioid settlement funds totaling $1.9 million annually over three years, and they accepted the lone quote from Cornerstone Detention Products for $52,848.48 to replace an ADI control panel at the juvenile facility.
Several personnel and operational items were approved on the consent agenda, including employment actions filed with payroll and human resources, authorization to advertise for floor replacement at the Harrison County Youth Detention Center, and authorization to purchase additional badge-pass equipment totaling $6,109.
