The Hernando County Planning & Zoning Commission on a unanimous vote approved the conditional plat for Seville Phase 1, a proposal for 706 residential lots on approximately 1,033 acres on the east side of Commercial Way (U.S. 19), about 5,200 feet north of Thrasher Avenue.
Planning staff told the commission that the applicant had provided updated technical studies and that the school district had issued a finding of available capacity. "On August 20, we issued a finding of available school capacity," said James Lipsey, non‑voting member representing the school district. With that finding, staff said it had issued a certificate of concurrency and therefore no proportionate‑share mitigation agreement was required for the conditional plat.
