The first contract awards refurbishment work on 12 air-handler units to Aquis to extend equipment life by an estimated five to seven years. Jerry Galo, who presented the project, said, "There’s 12 units. This will provide us approximately 5 to 7 years additional life. They are past life right now. We went out to bid, and came back with the Aquis, which I do have experience with in New York City doing the same type of projects." Interim CEO Dr. Eldridge (as referenced in the meeting) noted this work was part of a list of urgent capital needs and that bids were returned after the items went back out to bid because of timing.
