Staff also reported seal-coating of stadium blacktop, track repainting and fence replacement.
Several less-visible but critical projects were listed as completed or underway: rooftop HVAC unit replacements at Hamilton and Fowler (some Fowler work pending completion), elevator upgrades at Fowler, replacement of mini-split units and updates to data closets, water‑heater replacement at Bel Air, storm-drain work at Fowler courtyard, concrete trip-hazard repairs across sites, and crack-sealing and line painting at district locations.
Board members praised proactive maintenance planning and noted that many of the behind-the-scenes projects — while not visible to the public — are essential for building safety and longevity. Facilities staff said there was no student labor used this summer but said they could consider student help for future work when appropriate.
The committee accepted the update and thanked facilities staff for prioritizing security entrances and athletic-facility maintenance.
