Blair County commissioners on Sept. 4 approved execution of the county's 2025 certification form to receive distributions from the county abatement account. Staff read an estimated distribution of about $712,000 for the year.
"I'm here requesting approval to execute the 2025 certification form, for funds to be distributed from the county abatement account, and for commissioner Kesting to execute said form. This is our yearly form we fill out to receive the distribution. The estimated distribution this year is, about 712,000," said a county finance staff member.
A commissioner asked for clarification: "Just to clarify, this is the opioid settlement funds. Is that correct?" The finance presenter replied, "I believe so. Yes." The transcript shows the board approved the certification form by voice vote.
The meeting record did not include further detail on the specific program uses for the distribution or any required allocations.
