Norwood CPC schedules CPA outreach, drops 'priority demographics' from plan draft after debate

The Town of Norwood Community Preservation Commission met Sept. 3 at Town Hall and approved minutes from its July 16 meeting, set three community information sessions about CPA-funded projects and spending, and debated language for the draft Community Preservation Plan that would identify priority demographic groups.

Commissioners agreed to hold CPA information sessions at the library, the civic building and the senior center on Sept. 16, Sept. 22 and Sept. 25, and asked Norwood Community Media to record the senior‑center forum. Committee members said the sessions will present completed and proposed CPA projects, matching funds already received for some housing items and will include prompts to encourage public questions and feedback.

The commission spent the bulk of the meeting on chapter edits for the draft Community Preservation Plan.
