The commission also received an update that Kath Khan has resigned as executive director of the Rock County Historical Society. Brian said the commission's planned collaboration with the society will be paused until staff can confirm who will serve as the society's executive director, at which point staff will reestablish contact to resume joint planning for events. Commissioners said they had already discussed the possibility of shared booth space in future festivals and believed the society's board was open to collaboration.
Members discussed outreach logistics and whether the festival is the best venue for the commission's display, but they agreed to continue pursuing joint appearances with the historical society and to develop better display materials for public events.
