The Poulsbo City Council unanimously confirmed Mayor Rebecca Erickson's appointment of Ken Thomas to the city's Parks and Recreation Commission on Sept. 3.
Mayor Erickson introduced Thomas as a former council member who recently moved back to Poulsbo from Arizona. Thomas spoke briefly at the dais, saying he wanted to serve and bring his community-service experience to the commission.
Councilmember Gary Eckert moved to confirm the mayor's appointment; the motion was seconded. The roll call included affirmative responses recorded in the transcript as "Crow, aye; Tabor, aye; Eckert, aye; McVay, aye; Midgill, aye; Stern, aye." The mayor declared the appointment confirmed without dissent.
No additional action was taken on the business agenda at that time.
