- In-kind support approved for the Cultura Arte Committee Dia de los Muertos event at Karen Park (11/01/2025): Motion passed, unanimous. - In-kind support approved for Cero Estrellas movement Monte Carlo Trails cleanup event (9/13/2025): Motion passed, unanimous. - In-kind support approved for Nogales National Little League Mexican Baseball Fiesta (dates 9/20–9/28/2025): Motion passed, unanimous. - Retirement of Nogales Police Department narcotics canine Braun and authorization to retire/transfer the canine to handler: Order approved (motion passed). - Authorized purchase and use of locks/chains for fire-hydrant meters in an amount not to exceed $200,000: Motion approved. - Memorandum of Understanding with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations to designate a Nogales police officer to assist certain duties (task-force assignment for drug enforcement): MOU approved; council clarified the assigned officer will not undertake immigration enforcement duties. - Multiple special-event liquor licenses approved for local religious and community events (dates and applicants recorded on the agenda): Motions passed. - One application for a regular-series wholesaler liquor license (address at a residence) was opened for public hearing and then tabled for planning and zoning review (action to table passed). - Ordinance O-2025-08-005 (amending water-service categories to remove a secondary service charge and rename trailer-park category) was approved on second reading. - Resolution R-2025-09-002 (proposed charter amendments on mayor/council salaries, city-manager contract length and residency) was amended in session: council approved moving one provision — a charter question on city-manager residency radius — toward a ballot measure (further study and scheduling directed by council).
