Staff told the board that many online courses are delivered through Arizona-based providers and that teachers dedicated to the online program deliver the instruction.
A board member asked whether teachers for these courses are dedicated online instructors or whether online teaching is added to in‑person staff workloads; staff replied that most courses are offered through Arizona online providers and are taught by teachers dedicated to online instruction. The board then voted to adjourn the public hearing; staff indicated the board will consider formal adoption of the instructional time model at the next regular meeting.
