Davis County Commission approves budget amendment, health contracts, tax adjustments and training agreements

Davis County Commissioners on Tuesday, Sept. 2, approved a slate of routine administrative items including a 2025 operating- and capital-budget amendment, two agreements with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, several property-tax adjustments, sheriff training agreements and the cancellation of the Sept. 9 regular meeting.

The actions were taken during the commission's Sept. 2 session in Suite 303 at the Davis County Courthouse. Commissioners opened a public hearing on the budget amendment, heard no public comment, closed the hearing and approved the resolution.

Controller Scott Park told the commission that the budget changes "primarily" use some fund balance "to purchase some additional computer equipment, some fund balance for a real estate purchase, and then various transfers between departments." The commission approved the amendment after the hearing.

The commission approved two health-department items brought by Director Bridal Hatch: an amendment to a contract with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services for a disability-and-health program (a receivable of $10,500 covering 08/01/2025–07/31/2026) and an agreement to participate as a qualified provider in the…
