After meeting in executive session under ORS provisions for exempt records and labor negotiations, the Crook County Board of Commissioners returned to open session and approved two actions.
First, the board moved to delegate authority to county legal counsel to sign a letter discussed in executive session. A motion to delegate that authority carried on a voice vote.
Second, the board voted to ratify the collective bargaining agreement with the Sergeants Association, making corrections discussed during executive session and authorizing signatures outside the public meeting. The motion to ratify passed by voice vote.
Commissioners noted that no final decisions are made in executive session itself and that motions related to those topics must be taken in open session.
