The City of Reno Planning Commission approved a major deviation for the Stone Village fence (case LDC25-00066) by expedited motion during the Sept. 3 meeting.
Commissioner Jacob Williams moved to expedite and approve the case; Commissioner Gombiantini (transcript shows Gompiantini/Gompiantini spelling variants) seconded the motion. After the chair read the motion language onto the record, commissioners voted and the chair announced the motion carried unanimously.
The finalized motion approved the major deviation subject to the conditions listed in the staff report; staff recorded that written correspondence had been entered into the public record but no members of the public spoke at the hearing.
City attorney staff clarified for the record that the earlier action had been stated correctly as an approval (not merely an expedited motion) before the vote was taken.
