The Village of Hartland Village Board on Sept. 22, 2025, approved a final retainage payment of $57,845.63 to Mid City Corp. to close out the Highway 83 water-main rehabilitation project and approved vouchers totaling $349,296.73, which included the retainage payment.
Village staff explained that the payment is the contract closeout and retainage release for a project completed in 2024; the project had a one-year observation period before final payment. The vouchers package was presented and approved on a single motion.
A trustee asked about an invoice line labeled “LWMMI.” Village staff clarified that the entry referred to the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Mutual Insurance (LWMIC), the municipal insurance pool that provides property, vehicle and workers’ compensation coverage for the village.
Both motions carried on voice votes.
