Menands board approves motions on zoning hearing, vehicle sale, policies and fire equipment

The board adopted two administrative policies presented for review: the Accident Investigation Policy and the Best Value Policy. Trustees said amendments were limited to grammatical edits and asked colleagues to use the versions in the board folder.
The board approved the fire department's equipment purchase request for three thermal imaging cameras from MES under state contract at a total cost of $14,288.97, to be charged to the department's equipment account. Trustees said the state-contract unit price was roughly $200 less per unit than other sources the department considered.
