Applicant says security, age checks planned for proposed Glens Falls cannabis storefront

An applicant for a recreational cannabis retail outlet told the Glens Falls City Planning Board she plans multiple security and age-verification measures and has applied to amend her state license for a larger storefront.

Holly, representing Monday Hill Wellness, said the business currently operates a dispensary in Greenwich and sought to expand into a larger suite in Glens Falls. "We are putting in 23 cameras. We will have somebody at the door to make sure everyone that enters is 21. We will have a full on security system in there," Holly told the board. She added the space will be 2,800 feet relative to a 2,000-foot statutory separation requirement referenced in the discussion.

Holly described operational plans including one person at the door, two budtenders and one inventory person (about four staff), online ordering to shorten customer dwell time and plans to shade windows so products are not visible from the street.
