Planning commission recommends preliminary approval for 22‑lot Barker's Haven subdivision with conditions

The North Ogden City Planning Commission on Oct. 25 recommended preliminary plat approval for Barker's Haven Subdivision Phase 1, a 22‑lot subdivision proposed at approximately 1050 East and 2400 North, after staff outlined several conditions to be satisfied at final plat.

Ryan Nunn, city planner, told the commission the property was annexed into the city earlier this year and was assigned the R1‑10 zone, which requires 10,000‑square‑foot interior lots, 11,000‑square‑foot corner lots and 90‑foot frontages. Nunn said staff reviewed the phase 1 plat and recommended approval so long as conditions are met at final plat, including verification of lot frontages, showing a turnaround at the north dead end, and securing assurances for a future roadway connection where the developer asked not to dedicate full right of way now.
