Attorney Thomas Cronin, representing owner-applicant Jason Kirschmeier, told the Coventry Zoning Board that the notice for Kirschmeier's application was inadequate because the proposed detached garage exceeds the town's new 1,200-square-foot limit.

Member Ross Pelletier moved to continue the matter to the board's next meeting on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in council chambers; the motion was seconded by Eddie (surname not specified). Members Lenny (Cloutier), Keith Galloway, Eddie and Ross voted to approve the continuance; the chair also voted in favor. The motion carried.
Cronin said he would "amend and re notice as described." No substantive hearing or vote on the merits of the variance occurred at the meeting.
