Iredell County America250 committee previews countywide events, school contests and preservation projects

Julie Moore, a staff member from the Iredell County Public Library, updated the Board of Commissioners on Sept. 2 on the county’s America250 planning work and the schedule for countywide events and educational projects.
The planning effort will centralize event listings and resources at iredell250nc.com, Moore said, with a target website launch around Oct. 1. The site will host a community calendar that organizations across the county can use to list events, programs and contests, and the Marketing and Tourism subcommittee is coordinating a unified social media presence.
"The Marketing and Tourism Committee will be reviewing and approving the website, which is going to be iredell250nc.com at their September meeting. The website should go live around October 1," Moore said.
