Jefferson County commissioners approve routine minutes, payments, payroll and five-year domestic-relations contract

The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners approved a set of routine administrative actions and a five-year contract at its recent meeting.
The board voted to approve the minutes of the meeting dated 08/12/2029 as presented; to approve vendor invoices totaling $883,338.87 for the Aug. 9–22 period; and to approve gross payroll of $319,621.56. The board also approved a contract between Jefferson County, the Court of Common Pleas of Jefferson County — Domestic Relations, and attorney Cameron Minger, Esquire, for services from Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2030.

Other business and announcements: County staff recognized Lexi, the county’s director of human resources, for actions that officials said saved taxpayers $10,000 through training- and safety-related premium reductions. County staff also thanked Jessica Siri and others, including tourism director Mary Jo Milford and Elise Brogan, for hosting Secretary Seager of the Department of Community and Economic Development on a recent visit to Jefferson County. A public commenter named Mister Greeley asked how the county assessor is paid; the commissioners said the assessor receives a set wage and that the county solicitor is preparing a detailed response to the document Greeley submitted.
Administrative notes: County offices will be closed Sept. 1, and the commissioners announced the next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 9. The board noted they are seeking applicants for board positions for Redwood Park.
