Two sealed plumbing bids were read into the record. Dynamic Systems (DSI LLC) of Poughkeepsie, New York, submitted a lump-sum bid of $2,298,800 and acknowledged the three addenda; an additional $20,000 allocation listed on the bid form raises that entry to $2,318,800. Hauser Brothers Inc. of Orangeburg, New York, submitted a lump-sum bid of $2,518,000; with the $20,000 allocation, the total shown on its bid form is $2,538,000. City staff confirmed both bids included bid bonds and required non-collusion certifications and that the addenda numbered 1, 2 and 3 were acknowledged.
Board member Massey moved to accept the bids for filing and to refer them to the Commissioner of Public Works for review and recommendation; Rodriguez seconded the motion. The board voted in favor; the motion carried.
Separately, the board approved a revised agreement with Fusco Engineering Design for the O&W project covering design, construction management, historic tax credit work, environmental review, parking-lot and subdivision design and contingency services. The contract total described in the meeting was $3,000,001.65. The resolution was moved and seconded and approved by the board.
City staff and the consultant confirmed that the plumbing bids included the addenda and required bonding documents and that the Fusco contract package is intended to cover the project's professional services and contingencies. The board referred final bid evaluation and recommendation to the Commissioner of Public Works and authorized execution of the Fusco agreement as described in the resolution.
