Caldwell — At a city workshop just after 5 p.m. on Sept. 3, the Caldwell City Council hosted a pinning and swearing-in ceremony for new and promoted members of the Caldwell Police Department and Caldwell Fire Department and formally administered the oath of office to Christina Buchanan as city clerk.
The event opened with remarks from Mayor Wagner, who said the quarterly ceremony is a chance to celebrate promotions, swearing-ins and new hires. “We do these quarterly, and it’s a lot of fun because then we get to get a lot of officers, firefighters together and to celebrate their accomplishments,” the mayor said.
Captain Rosen of the Caldwell Police Department called the ceremony “one of the proudest days” for the agency as the department recognized promotions and new employees. The…
