County approves two-day closure for Finney County Health Department employee retreat

The Finney County Board of County Commissioners approved a two-day temporary closure of the Finney County Health Department for an annual employee retreat on Sept. 18–19, 2025.
Dana (identified in the meeting as interim health department director) told commissioners the retreat is the department’s second annual staff retreat. She said organizers are finalizing speakers and that county commissioners would be invited to participate. The board approved the requested closure by voice vote.
Commissioners noted the department is moving into a new facility under construction and that the retreat is intended as internal staff development. The board instructed staff to provide necessary paperwork and public notice for the temporary closure.
