County staff read a list of businesses for which renewal recommendations were being recorded, including: Kino Store and Murphy's Market; BookFit Tavern; Gearhart Events; Crater Lake Zipline; Herriman Springs Resort; Joe's Motel and Campground; Dollar General (two store references given); Altamont Market; Mohawk Restaurant; Lean Store; and Mario's Italian Sandwiches. County staff noted the OLCC verifies businesses meet necessary conditions; the county’s action is a recommendation only.
The county recorded a fiscal impact of $10 in revenue to the general fund for each renewed license. The board placed the recommendation on the record and the matter was closed by voice vote.
The county emphasized the OLCC has the authority to grant or refuse licenses; the board’s recommendation is considered by the state regulator during OLCC review.
