Klamath County accepts quote for Baldwin Hotel Museum painting; funds from museum foundation

The Klamath County Board of Commissioners accepted a contractor quote Sept. 2 to repaint and restore the Baldwin Hotel Museum storefront and window sills.
Commission staff said the Baldwin Committee of the Klamath County Museum Foundation Board received a donation in January 2022 earmarked for Baldwin Hotel Museum improvements. The committee solicited bids from two local painting contractors and selected Legacy Painting and Construction LLC. Commissioners moved to accept the Legacy Painting quote and authorized the museum director, Ashley Affleck Johnson, to sign the contract.
County staff said the project will be paid for by the Klamath County Museum Foundation Board and that there is no fiscal impact to the county’s general fund. Commissioners approved the motion by voice vote.
The work covers exterior painting and window‑sill restoration at the Baldwin Hotel Museum, county staff said. The board’s action allows the museum director to finalize the agreement with the selected contractor.
