County staff said the amendment adds program element 43 (immunization services), updates the financial assistance award for communicable disease infection prevention training and keeps the agreement effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. The board recorded a fiscal impact of $25,202.82 to subdepartment 4044 for fiscal year 2025–26.
Klamath County staff described the amendment as a delegation of authority from the state to the county public‑health department to operate specified public‑health programs. The county voted to authorize the department head to sign the amendment. Commissioners approved the motion by voice vote.
The amendment schedules funding and program responsibilities through mid‑2027. County staff said the change formalizes immunization work and training for communicable disease prevention under the public‑health department’s existing grant frameworks.
The board’s action authorizes the county public‑health department to manage the added program element and to accept the stated grant revenue for fiscal 2025–26.
