Clerk Rosedale presented the claims batch and highlighted several large items: about $508,000 for plant asphalt mix, $92,000 for crushed rock and bridal, $63,000 for striping, $130,000 for heavy equipment for road and bridge, $78,000 for worker's compensation insurance premium, $25,000 for EMS software (clarified as 911 items), $22,000 in postage, and other departmental purchases. The consent agenda also included purchases noted earlier such as a new oil heater ($17,963) for a refrigerator decommissioning building and new flatbed and accessories for solid waste.
After public comment and no further deliberation, the board approved claims batch 47 by roll call. Separately, the auto-body repair claim under risk was removed from the consent agenda for inspection and later consideration.
The board also acceded to a sheriff's office request to remove two sheriff items from the agenda earlier in the meeting.
