Sarah Long of the Office of Emergency Management presented Resolution 2025-67 to terminate the county’s disaster declaration for the Canfield Mountain incident (disaster declaration 2025-52). Long told the board that the Middleton Gulch fire was fully contained on July 4 through work by the Idaho Department of Lands and a type 3 incident management team, and that the Forest Service lifted area closures on July 8.
Long said conditions no longer require an active disaster declaration and recommended termination. The board adopted Resolution 2025-67 on the record with unanimous ayes.
Implementation: OEM staff will finalize administrative closure steps for the incident and document the termination in county records.
