Director Snyder (Parks and Waterways) told commissioners the county seeks authorization under policy 9-30 to expend in excess of $10,000 to purchase building materials for replacement of docks at several county waterways. Snyder said the funds are not from the general fund but come from the boat-launch user fee account and the vessel account, as explained in a memo dated Aug. 26.
The board moved to approve the expenditure so materials could be purchased and delivered before the end of the fiscal year. The motion passed with all commissioners voting aye.
Implementation: Parks and Waterways staff will proceed with procurement of materials and report back as required by county purchasing and accounting procedures.
