4) Policy 61-27 (epinephrine delivery system update) - Motion: Approve update to Policy 61-27 to allow a variety of epinephrine delivery systems beyond autoinjectors (to include nasal sprays if prescribed). - Outcome: Approved by voice vote, 5–0.
5) Davidson–Davie Community College memorandum of understanding (Career and College Promise) - Motion: Approve the annual memorandum of understanding between the district and Davidson–Davie Community College governing CCP roles and responsibilities and submit to the state as required. - Outcome: Approved by voice vote, unanimous.
6) Nomination to N.C. School Boards Association board of directors - Motion: Nominate Marie Helms as the district’s candidate for the NC School Boards Association board of directors; staff to send letter of recommendation. - Outcome: Approval by voice vote, unanimous. The state association makes the final appointment selection.
Why it matters: The policy update changes allowed epinephrine delivery methods in district policy; the CCP MOU permits continued dual-enrollment and college-credit pathways and must be submitted annually to the state. The roofing contract and other routine approvals authorize near-term operational work.
