The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Norwood voted 5-0 on Sept. 2 to continue a public hearing on Case 25-19, concerning 1261 Washington Street, to 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Norwood Senior Center, 275 Prospect St.
The matter is an appeal of a building inspector determination tied to zoning bylaw provisions requiring pools to be surrounded at all times by a fence or wall not less than 5 feet in height and related conformity provisions (zoning bylaw sections referenced in the filing: 3.4.0.1(i) and 10.1.0.2). The read public notice said the board would consider any zoning relief required under the town zoning bylaw. The public record and plans are on file with the ZBA and may be requested by emailing commdev@norwoodma.gov.
The board’s motion to continue the hearing, made during the meeting’s opening case, passed with votes recorded as Yes from members Al, Joanne, Rachel, Matt and the chair. No public testimony was taken at the Sept. 2 meeting on this item; the meeting notice indicated remote participation was available via Google Meet.
The continuance preserves the board’s ability to consider written materials and public comment at the Oct. 7 session, and the applicant or interested parties may submit additional documents to the ZBA office before that date.
