COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah — Maggie Mills, representing Whitmore Library for Salt Lake County Libraries, told the Cottonwood Heights City Council on Sept. 2 that the library is resuming regular programs and listed several events for the next weeks.
Mills said story time has restarted and that a chess club for “all ages and abilities” meets Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. The library’s produce swap continues through the end of the month on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On Sept. 8, Hawk Watch International is scheduled to bring three raptors for a family program described as a “parade of raptors.” The Babcock Performing Readers will perform on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., and the library will host a puppet show on Friday at 11 a.m.
“We're back to a lot of our regularly scheduled programming,” Mills said. She encouraged residents to see the library newsletter for a full schedule and thanked the council for the opportunity to share the information.
The announcement came during the citizen comment period; no requests for council action on library funding or facilities were recorded in the business meeting transcript.
