Jamie Castle, a city staff member presenting the item, said the package was intended largely to correct cross-references, codify the local practice for counting bedrooms and to adopt the state-mandated 2023 NEC. Castle said the most notable technical change in the electrical portion was about kitchen-island outlets: "Previously, you're required to have 1.
