Greg Schulte (commissioner) said he received the Snowmass letter the morning of the meeting and summarized the town’s request as an additional $500,000 toward an approximately $8.6 million project. Schulte said Pitkin County had previously committed about $208,000 from remaining ARPA funds and had assisted with grant writing support; however, state and other grant opportunities that were expected did not materialize.
