Grimes County holds public hearing on replat to combine two lots in The Cedars

Grimes County Commissioners Court held a public hearing Sept. 3 on a proposed replat to combine Lots 6 and 7, Block 1 in The Cedars Section 2, located in Precinct 2. Sean King, development coordinator, told the court a resident is buying the two lots and seeks to combine them.
King said he had spoken with “the Cedars” and that “they have no problem with this, and everything meets our regulations.” Judge Underwood kept the public hearing open to allow for comment but no members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing.
The hearing record contains no formal protest and no formal action on the replat was taken during this session. The matter was presented as meeting county subdivision regulations; King indicated the proposal complied with setbacks and other local requirements. The court later closed the public hearing by motion and voice vote.
