San Marcos council votes to enter executive session on real property, economic development and personnel matters

San Marcos City Council on Sept. 2 voted to convene an executive session under the Texas Government Code to discuss potential real property transactions, an economic development contract and personnel matters for several city appointees. The motion to go into executive session was moved by Councilmember Miss Rodriguez and seconded by Councilmember Lorenzo Gonzales; the motion passed, recorded as 5-2-0 with two members absent.

The public notice read at the meeting cites Texas Government Code Section 551.072 for deliberation regarding purchase of real property associated with the Old Southside School site along South LBJ Drive between Cheatham Street and Interstate 35 and the lease of city-owned property at 201 South LBJ Drive.
