Ellis County commissioners approve consent agenda, development plats, contracts and budget transfers; meetings and traffic changes set

Ellis County Commissioners Court completed a broad set of routine and substantive actions during its regular meeting, approving the consent agenda with a clerical correction, appointing a director to a groundwater conservation board, ratifying plat approvals, authorizing procurement contracts, and approving fiscal line-item transfers for the sheriff’s office and the county jail.

Key outcomes included the unanimous approval of the consent agenda (items A1–A9 and F1–F9) with a noted typographical correction to Item F9; the appointment of Gary Farmer to the Prairie Lands Groundwater Conservation District board through Minute Order 343.25 to serve a term ending Aug. 31, 2029 (Item A5); and approval of line-item transfers in the sheriff’s budget.
