The Urban Transportation Commission recorded the following formal actions at its Sept. 2, 2025, meeting. All votes listed were unanimous among commissioners present.
• Approval of minutes, Aug. 2025: Motion to approve the minutes as circulated. Outcome: approved (unanimous of those present).
• Item 5 — Right‑of‑way vacation abutting 1109 South Lamar Boulevard: Motion to recommend approval subject to conditions listed in the staff Master Common Report. Outcome: recommended for approval (unanimous of those present).
• Item 6 — Right‑of‑way vacation abutting 1200 West Gibson Street: Motion to recommend approval subject to staff conditions; staff noted site plan SP‑2020‑513C applies to this parcel. Outcome: recommended for approval (unanimous of those present).
• Item 7 — Establish working group to update UTC bylaws: Motion to establish a sub‑quorum working group and appoint Vice Chair Schumacher (working‑group chair), Commissioner Chen, Commissioner Prasad, Commissioner Buffo and Chair Susan Summers. Outcome: approved (unanimous of those present). The city clerk’s office must process changes consistent with state open‑meetings posting requirements before formal bylaw amendments are adopted.
• Item 8 — Appointment to Downtown Commission: Motion to appoint Commissioner Ming Chen (UTC) as the UTC appointee to the Downtown Commission; the appointment requires subsequent Council confirmation through the City Council process. Outcome: recommended appointment to Council (unanimous of those present).
These recommendations will proceed through required administrative or council steps (for right‑of‑way conveyance and for the Downtown Commission appointment) before they become final.
