County launches countytaxrates.com page for San Patricio property tax information

San Patricio County staff demonstrated a new county page on countytaxrates.com that allows residents to search property tax information by owner name, address or property ID.
Marcy, a county staff member, showed the commissioners how to access the site and said the county’s San Patricio page is live. “The web page right here is up and running and, the site is countytaxrates.com,” Marcy said during Commissioners Court.
She walked through features available on the site: last year’s values, estimated taxes, adopted tax rates, proposed tax rates, taxable values, exemptions and a graphical view of tax rates over time. The page includes public notices of hearings and an option for public feedback; Marcy said those messages currently route to the judge’s office or to an address handled by Debbie in the county office.
Marcy said residents can use either countytaxrates.com or sanpatricio.countytaxrates.com to reach the county’s page. The site is intended to give property owners an estimate of their taxes and to make meetings and adopted rates easier to find.
No ordinance or resolution was considered during the demonstration; the item was provided as public information and did not require a vote.
