NextDecade to support Cameron County fire marshal and emergency management under multi-year MOU

The Cameron County Commissioners Court heard a presentation on a memorandum of understanding with NextDecade (Rio Grande LNG) to provide professional services and support for the county—s fire marshal and emergency management functions.

County staff said the MOU responds to increased inspection needs following growth in population and the cancellation of a prior contract with Sandler. A NextDecade representative told the court the company is "proud to be able to support Cameron County and the emergency management department, and we look forward to our continued collaboration." Presenters described the agreement as a four-year arrangement to assist with inspections and other professional services that will support the fire marshal—s office.
