Tammy Jo Wilkins, chief of the Tombstone Vigilantes, said Showdown weekend in Tombstone will begin at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and will include continuous street entertainment, a rifle raffle at 3 p.m. Sunday and event T‑shirts designed by John LaVaughn.
Wilkins described the Tombstone Vigilantes as a nearly 78‑year‑old 501(c)(3) organization that performs twice monthly and supports local events and charities. She said the group collects donations and gives back through programs such as "Stuff the Stagecoach," a Thanksgiving‑weekend holiday toy drive that supplies gifts to a Santa‑in‑the‑Park event in December.
Wilkins invited residents and visitors to attend the weekend's reenactments and to support local businesses and the Vigilantes' fundraising efforts. She said the group has recently supported the Val Kilmer Memorial weekend and donated to a plaque in the Tombstone Cemetery.
