The Reno City Council on Aug. 27 approved a contract addendum extending the city’s Clean & Safe services through Sept. 30 and authorized payment of invoices submitted for the period from May 8 through Sept. 30.
A city staff presenter (identified in the record as “Mister Harper”) said the original contract term ended Sept. 30, 2025, and that an addendum had extended the contractor’s work from May 8 until the end of the fiscal contract year; staff noted invoices for that interim period have been submitted but could not be paid until council authorized the addendum.
Harper told council the invoices for the May‑to‑Sept period total $85,611. Councilmember Taylor asked whether the contractor had continued services while the paperwork was pending; staff confirmed services continued and said a broader replacement contract will be presented for council consideration with an Oct. 1 start date.
Council voted unanimously to approve the extension and authorize payment of the outstanding invoices.
Ending
Staff said they will bring a consolidated city contract to council later in the calendar year to replace the addendum and incorporate Clean & Safe program services going forward.
