Planning Commission elects Seema Patel chair, Adam Clafter vice chair

At the close of the Aug. 20 meeting the San Mateo City Planning Commission held nominations for chair and vice chair. Commissioner Clafter nominated Chair Seema Patel to continue as chair and Commissioner Adam Clafter (listed as Commissioner Clafter) nominated Adam Clafter as vice chair in the same motion; another commissioner seconded the nomination.
A roll‑call vote followed: Chair Seema Patel recorded an abstention; Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Clafter, Commissioner Schumkel and Commissioner Williams voted yes. The motion carried and the commission confirmed the leadership appointments.
Patel thanked the commission and staff and noted she looks forward to continuing to work with the commission. The new vice chair will assist with meeting leadership and act in the chair’s absence.
