Community corrections report: 151 on house arrest, some months of revenue not yet posted

The Lackawanna County Prison Board received a Community Corrections report on Aug. 20 showing 151 participants on house arrest in July and several financial and reporting items still outstanding.
“House arrest had 151 participants,” Community Corrections staff member Norm told the board. He said juvenile participants numbered 18 and juvenile program receipts for July were $3,630. Norm reported year-to-date totals of 29,184 (category not specified), program expenses of $108,049.06, 33 program completions and three violations. He said four warrants remain outstanding for participants on house arrest.
Norm also told the board that overtime was running at 24 percent, expenses at 60 percent and revenues at 20 percent. He said house-arrest financial records for March through July have not yet been posted because the staff member who handles the accounting has been out sick and the office is reconstructing records to match the business-office system.
A motion to accept the Community Corrections report was made, seconded and carried by voice vote. The transcript records no opposition.
Board members asked when missing accounting entries would be available; Norm said staff were working to complete the reconciliations soon.
