Library board awaiting legal review on whether board members may serve on a Friends group

Board members said a Friends group could ease fundraising and staffing of library events, but agreed they must await the attorney’s guidance before recruiting or appointing board members to serve on such an organization.
No formal action was taken at the meeting; the matter remains under legal review.
