Resident urges BVSD to oppose Fraser Meadows expansion over student-safety, traffic concerns

She added the development would increase daily truck and visitor traffic around the school and called for BVSD to “advocate for student safety and take a strong position against this expansion.”
Why it matters: Lair framed her remarks around student safety and the day-to-day logistics of drop-off, pickup and pedestrian routes. She asked the district to oppose the project and to press for a safer traffic plan if the project moves forward.
Board members did not take a formal vote or issue a staff direction on the project during the meeting; Lair’s remarks were received as public comment.
