Operations Committee ratified previously issued purchase orders for audio‑visual and production equipment for DCTV under a cooperative agreement, approving a substitute motion to ratify the purchases. Committee documents attach vendor quotes and purchase orders.
The DeKalb County Operations Committee ratified previously issued purchase orders to upgrade the DC TV studio and broadcasting equipment. County staff said the purchases—made using a cooperative contract—were necessary to improve the quality of DC TV services and were placed to realize cost savings available through the contract vehicle.
The purchases were awarded to B&H (vendor name read at the meeting) and committee documents included attached quotes and three purchase order numbers. Staff said the purchase orders to be ratified had already been issued; the total of the purchase orders was provided in the attached documents submitted to the committee.
Commissioner Robert Patrick praised DC TV’s performance and the committee approved the motion to ratify the purchases. The committee’s voice vote was recorded in favor.
Staff characterized the equipment as cinema and broadcast cameras, mobile lighting, switching and monitoring systems, signal converters, ClearCom communication gear and related peripherals to support DC TV event coverage and broadcasting.
