Laredo ISD posts calendar updates and upcoming committee meetings; QR code available for calendar

During the Aug. 26 special call meeting the Laredo ISD Board of Trustees received communications and calendar updates from district staff.
The district provided a printed calendar with an accompanying QR code staff said could be scanned to add events to personal calendars. Announced events include the Accelerated Readers Recognition Breakfast on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 9 a.m. in the Marcus Nelson Conference Room; high school meet-the-teacher nights on Aug. 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and the Labor Day district holiday on Monday, Sept. 1. The student services committee will meet Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m., followed by a safety and security meeting at 5:30 p.m. and a district operations and school safety committee meeting at 5:45 p.m. Progress-report day for elementary, middle and high-school students is Wednesday, Sept. 3. The curriculum and instruction committee meets Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 5:15 p.m. A special call meeting is set for Thursday, Sept. 4 at 5:30 p.m., and the regular board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025.
A trustee thanked staff for the QR code. The district asked attendees with calendar questions to contact the administration.
